Another epic day of bass fishing...The day started slow and I was not feeling like it was going to good at all. .Decided to change zip codes and found the mother load of bass chasing small herring up on the beach and had site casting for 3 solid hours to keeper size bass....Just phenomenal action....
tuna won today....we had 4 hookups and two full run offs but dropped all 4.....So it goes in the world of tuna fishing on LT.....We did play with the slob bass again and hope this epic fishing stays strong for awhile!
Described our fishing today. After over a week of handing off my trips to another charter cap, or canceling, I finally got the Carla Noelle wet today fishing with Shawn Rayder and company. We did a combo bass/tuna trip....Day started kinda slow in pea soup fog....We put a few keepers on soft plastics in the boat and kept moving on.....Started doing good on drifts but wanted to make the long run to the day before's action where we had miles of bass and a few tuna. I'm glad we made the run...We boated 40 or so keeper bass all on light tackle and fly and had 5 tuna hookups but call of them came unbuttoned.....Just insane!!....
Hi, I'm Jeff Smith and welcome to my blog. I specialize in the pursuit for trophy gamefish on the fly and light tackle. Striped bass, bluefin tuna, bluefish, and albies are the predominante species we pursue from Chatham to Provincetown.
I encourage catch and release and conservation minded fishing practices so that the next generation will enjoy the fishery as much as we have.
Thanks for visiting!
Jeff
